Stantec awarded place on Scotland Excel Engineering and Technical Consultancy Framework

Stantec has been awarded a place to Scotland Excel’s third generation Engineering and Technical Consultancy Framework.

The Framework will be in place for four years and will offer Councils access to 31 suppliers that have gone through a detailed tender process and are ready to provide services that support construction infrastructure across Scotland.

These areas will primarily relate to civil engineering and associated disciplines including road and structures, transportation and traffic, environmental engineering, land surveying, drainage and flooding, geoenvironmental and geotechnical, coastal and maritime, master planning, and project and commercial management. Stantec has been awarded a place on the framework to supply six of these nine specialist services.

Scotland Excel is the Centre of Procurement Expertise for the local government sector in Scotland. Established in 2008, following agreement by local councils, Scotland Excel develops and manages a portfolio of national contracts which deliver savings, encourage innovation, facilitate policy, support local economies, and generate social value for communities.

“I welcome the launch of our third generation Engineering and Technical Consultancy contract which will give local authorities easy access to a range of suppliers, while also bringing efficiencies for councils. The framework is also good for business as the 31 UK- based suppliers are a mix of micro, small, medium and large businesses.”

All the suppliers on the Framework have pledged to offer local community benefits, based on council spend thresholds, for the lifetime of the framework. Stantec is also a signatory of the Scottish Business Pledge, a commitment to promote fairness, equality, opportunity, and innovation in Scotland.
