Esh-Stantec launches Carbon Culture Club Innovation Sprint at Northumbrian Water’s Innovation Festival

Esh-Stantec is encouraging environmental enthusiasts to sign up to Northumbrian Water’s Innovation Festival, where they will be hosting a four-day sprint exploring how we accelerate our journey to net zero.
The Innovation Festival 2022 will see scores of innovators coming together to solve huge societal problems – with environmental issues topping the bill. The Esh-Stantec sprint will bring together industry experts to explore how we embed a carbon conscious culture into capital delivery to help achieve net zero.
Maire Lenihan, Operations Director for Water at Stantec, said: “We are pleased to launch our Carbon Culture Club innovation sprint at this year’s event where we will focus on how we create the right culture to achieve net zero. Everyone has a part to play in this, and it’s essential we create an environment where the right behaviours enable everyone to drive our net zero journey forward.”
Esh-Stantec will look at how we embed our thinking into actions and behaviours to create a culture where carbon reduction is front of mind across all operational activity.
David Pratt, Divisional Director for Esh-Stantec, said: “This is our second innovation sprint which has focused on carbon reduction and again, we hope it will bring about some real benefits. Last year we realised that reducing carbon from capital programmes is not only a major technical challenge, but a cultural one too.”
