05/20/2022 UNITED KINGDOM TSX, NYSE:STN

Stantec has been awarded a place on Hampshire County Council’s Place, Connectivity, and Infrastructure (PCI) Professional Services Framework to provide multi-disciplinary services that will benefit communities throughout the region.

Through the four-year framework, which will run from 2022 to 2026, professional service providers will work with Hampshire County Council to deliver transportation, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects that will promote economic growth and reduce carbon footprint.

Stantec has been appointed to Lot A of the framework for the procurement of large scale, multidisciplinary transportation, civil engineering, and environmental professional services. Stantec’s teams will have the opportunity to provide a wide range of services including sustainable and accessible transport infrastructure planning, highways, civil and structural engineering design, flood and water management and drainage design, ecological and environmental services, and intelligent traffic systems design and advice services.

Scott Witchalls, UK Director Transport and Infrastructure, Stantec, and Framework Director, said: “This is an important appointment for Stantec. The work we do with local authorities is a priority for us and an area where we are committed to supporting successful growth. Through this framework we will help to unlock potential for sustainable development, increase connectivity, and deliver social value for local communities across Hampshire.”

Phil Brady, Director Community Development South, Stantec and Framework Technical Director, commented: “Our place on this framework will mean we can work with Hampshire County Council to support their strategic aims. We will work on projects that help the region maintain resilient economic growth and strong, inclusive, healthy communities. We’re looking forward to delivering place-based services in a collaborative relationship over the life of the framework.”

Although the PCI framework will be managed by Hampshire County Council, other local authorities in England will also be able to use services from the framework.

Stantec has a solid track record of helping local authorities to deliver against their planning, policy and growth objectives. From digital EIA’s to virtual consultations, the company also continues to adapt and innovate to support local authority professionals to navigate post-pandemic issues and begin to build back better.
