Stantec shortlisted for four CIR Risk Management Awards

We are delighted to announce that Stantec has been shortlisted for four awards in three categories for the 2022 CIR Risk Management Awards.

The awards celebrate excellence in the field of project risk management in the UK and are the pinnacle of achievement in the sector – recognising talent, products and programmes. Stantec has been shortlisted in the Risk Team of the Year, Risk Manager of the Year and Newcomer of the Year categories.

In shortlisting as a finalist in the Risk Management Team of the Year category, the judges have recognised the achievements of Stantec’s Programme Management Integrator Services (PMIS) risk management team in embedding industry-leading, tailored risk management strategies that help our clients in the UK&I meet their business objectives by maximising opportunities, minimising threats and driving efficiencies.

Stantec’s Simon Motley has been shortlisted as Risk Manager of the Year in the awards in recognition of his contribution to Southern Water’s Water for Life Hampshire (WfLH) Programme, which is widely recognised as one of the most complex programmes of work the UK water industry has ever delivered.

In his role as Risk Manager on the WfLH programme, Simon was responsible for implementing a bespoke risk management framework and strategy to ensure a consistent supply of quality drinking water to customers in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight regions during future drought conditions. This effort was achieved whilst significantly reducing its impact on the environment, particularly the local river systems.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 23 November at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.
