Stantec, a global leader in sustainable, design, engineering, and environmental consulting, has announced the appointment of four new planning specialists in Manchester. The move strengthens its capabilities for the North West’s private development, energy, and utilities industries, as well as for public sector clients.
David Green (planning associate director), David Idebolo (environmental planning associate director), Mandy Pang (planner), and Courtney Cooper (environmental planner) have all joined Stantec’s growing community development team in the last month.
The four new hires join 185 Stantec colleagues based out the Company’s flagship office in Manchester’s Barbirolli Square. Collectively, they will help support the delivery of critical residential, commercial, transport infrastructure, energy, and utilities schemes across the region.
With more than a decade of experience, David Idebolo joins Stantec having worked at several leading consultancies in strategic environmental roles. Idebolo will be leading Environmental Impact Assessment activity for Stantec across the North West, specialising in residential, highways, and development consent order projects. He is supported by Courtney Cooper who will be assisting these efforts through the raft of environmental compliance and design expertise she brings to the Company.
Backed by over 20 years in the planning industry in both the public and private sectors, David Green joins Stantec’s Manchester office from another global consulting firm, and will be working on major infrastructure, DCO, renewables, and town and county planning projects.
An experienced town planner, Mandy Pang spent five years working as a planning officer at Salford City Council prior to her move into consultancy. Pang commented: “I was attracted to Stantec due to the broad range of housing, urban design, and transport schemes in their portfolio.”
Greg Dickson, planning director, Stantec added: “The region faces complex planning and environmental challenges, and I’m delighted that we’ve been able to bolster the skills and expertise in our team through the appointment of David, David, Mandy and Courtney.”
He continued: “We pride ourselves on providing a supportive, fulfilling working environment, and we always look to hire people who are seeking to make a positive difference.”
