Hull City Council appoints Stantec to Engineering and Regeneration Professional Services Framework

Stantec’s teams will support the delivery of vital infrastructure improvements across the Hull city region, focusing on sustainability and community

04/24/2026 Leeds, UK TSX, NYSE:STN

Stantec, a global leader in sustainable design, engineering, and environmental consulting, has been appointed to two significant lots on Hull City Council’s Engineering and Regeneration Professional Services Framework. The appointment builds on Stantec’s position as a trusted partner to the public sector in delivering community-focused highways, civil engineering, and interdisciplinary infrastructure projects.

Improving local transport networks
Stantec will now provide technical, specialist engineering support across a wide variety of schemes in and around Hull, including highways, public realm, and infrastructure projects. The framework will last for the initial three-year period, and then it will be reopened. The refreshed framework will expire in 2033. The Company was appointed to Lot 2, which is focused on highways and civil engineering, as well as Lot 7, dedicated to multidisciplinary team and project delivery.

The wide scope of work associated with the framework will mean Stantec can draw in its transport infrastructure, urban planning, civil engineering, and programme delivery specialists, with operations being led out of Stantec’s Leeds office. Stantec’s teams will also be complemented by strategic partners COWI and commercial consultancy, Cantidad. They will provide additional support on the framework.

Stantec has a strong track record supporting communities in Hull, with residential, active travel, and water sector projects across the region. The company’s approach to this framework will allow it to leverage its global expertise, sustainable ethos, and local knowledge of priorities and technical challenges to offer Hull City Council a comprehensive suite of services.

Global knowledge paired with local expertise
“We are committed to supporting Hull’s ambitions for sustainable transport and complex resilient infrastructure and will address these requirements, delivering social and economic value in the process,” said Andrew Brown, national discipline director for engineering and design at Stantec.

“Our teams are agile, responsive to local needs, and well placed to deliver innovative projects efficiently to benefit communities and contribute to the city’s long-term vision for regeneration.”
