With experience of a wide range of water treatment processes from research work for the water industry and the consultancy sector, Dr Lisa Barrott is a senior technical director, water treatment and quality at Stantec. She has interest and experience in both small community water treatment and advanced water treatment processes. Lisa has run pilot-plants to test conventional and innovative water treatment processes and has extensive experience of water analysis in the field and the laboratory. She was involved in development of drinking water safety plans for several large water companies.
Lisa has worked on feasibility and optimisation studies for many water companies in the UK which has involved extensive analysis of operational data from water treatment works. She has worked on projects both in the UK and overseas including St. Lucia, Jamaica, Jordan and Canada. In addition to her first degree in Natural Sciences and her PhD in Environmental Engineering, she has excellent communication skills and holds a qualification in Communication of Technical Information and Statistics.
Lisa is also chair of the CIWEM Water Supply and Quality Panel in the UK.
