From his start as a management trainee in bus service operations to delivering bus services for several large UK operators, including Heathrow Airport, Phil’s career in passenger transport spans over 30 years. He brings extensive experience in local bus service operations as well as local authority governance, budgeting, and consultation capabilities. He’s also supported and advised governments in the Middle East on local bus service operations, the implementation of new bus networks, and the bidding process for bus franchises.
Prior to joining us, Phil served as the head of public transport at Kent County Council, leading their integrated passenger transport team. He was responsible for helping deliver Fastrack, Kent's bus rapid transit system.
Phil's passion lies in developing passenger transport programmes that are responsive to the needs of local communities. His in-depth knowledge of national bus policy and bus service improvement plans helps him deliver high-quality, cost-effective public transport services.
