Rob specialises in freshwater and marine water quality investigations and improvements, with a focus on strategic level programmes and changing environmental legislation. Throughout his career, he’s been involved with a wide range of multidisciplinary work, gaining a broad understanding of the wastewater sector.
As a senior technical specialist and service offering lead for our Water Environment, Impact and Assessment team, Rob is currently heavily involved in drainage water management planning, business planning, and storm overflow investigations across a number of UK water and sewerage companies. He also works on efforts involving bathing waters. This includes leading the Office for Environment Protections review of the Bathing Water Regulations, a process which became the basis for the recent bathing water reforms. He is also a regular contributor to UK Water Industry Research (UKWIR) projects on the subject and has presented at a number of related national conferences.
When he isn’t busy helping improve water quality, Rob enjoys spending time outside with his family, jumping between the beautiful beaches and the rolling moorland near his home in Devon.
