Juan is a Hydrogeologist whose experience spans the globe, having worked on projects in Perú, Australia, UK, Argentina and Chile. He specialises in groundwater, hydrology and water management—including on over 25 mining projects, as well as projects in the agricultural, water and beverage industry, and other industry sectors.
As a result, he is adept at adapting to differing regulations in many jurisdictions. In the UK, he undertakes impact and risk assessments for the major quarry and water companies around the UK, as well as abstraction licence applications, discharge activity and waste permitting. Regardless of the location, or industry sector of his projects, to Juan water is water and he is passionate about using water efficiently and with respect for other users.
Dedicated to research and learning in his field, Juan’s M.Sc. dissertation was awarded with the John Day Bursary of the International Association of Hydrogeologists. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, sports and music.
