With over 18 years’ experience across a range of business sectors and industries, Gemma, a Senior GIS Consultant at Stantec works in partnership with a variety of clients and discipline groups to develop GIS solutions with specific reference to environmental data.
Gemma’s applied expertise has included the development of field data collection applications for ecologists, applications for land quality specialists, the streamlining of constraints mapping for environmental advisors and the delivery of internal GIS training and mentoring.
Gemma has worked on projects within the water, energy and road sectors, with UK clients such as Thames Water, Southern Water, Severn Trent Water, National Grid and various Managing Area Contractors for the Highways Agency and the Defence Estates.
Outside of work, Gemma is a GeoMentor for two local High Schools helping support the Geography departments embed GIS within the GCSE curriculum. Gemma is a Fellow member of the Cheshire regional committee of the Royal Geographical Society and a Chartered Geographer.
