Ark Data Centres – Longcross Park Design and Construction Support
Ark Data Centres is committed to sustainability. Longcross Park is home to one of the UK’s first NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra graphics processing unit clusters and embodies Ark’s drive for zero carbon data centres. To provide a sustainable solution for these units, we were selected to support the design and construction of the modular, AI-ready facilities.
Our multidisciplinary team saved thousands of cubic metres of concrete in the building’s substructure. Our improved design removed thousands of tonnes of embodied carbon—equivalent to 6,300 flights from London to New York. Further carbon reduction comes from the modular design. Modular construction allows for the rapid deployment of high-density infrastructure for seamless scalability to support the growing demands of AI-driven workloads and next-generation technologies. This design also reduces waste, energy consumption, and carbon emissions.
AI processing requires more power and cooling, so Longcross Park combines advanced liquid and air cooling and robust sustainability measures. The facility also uses direct air-cooling technology, developed by Bladeroom Group, that dramatically reduces energy consumption and cost. Additionally, our Transport team delivered extensive facilities for electric vehicles for employees and visitors.
With this innovative design, Longcross Park combines clean power, cutting-edge cooling technology, and industry-leading power usage effectiveness—supporting Ark’s carbon reduction targets.
