Set over a five-acre site in Sydney's northwest, The Willows in Winston Hills is a new and modern aged care home for Opal Aged Care. The facility offers one and two-bedroom independent living units and serviced apartments to support the growing elderly population in Western Sydney.

Our client is renowned by the public for offering aged care facilities and engaged Stantec to provide a full building services package for The Willows including mechanical, hydraulics, fire protection, electrical, acoustics, and sustainability engineering. With residents still occupying existing buildings, our team was required to deliver refurbishment tasks in staged works by isolating wings or quadrants to ensure minimal interruption. As part of our sustainability scope, we provided advice with respect to the offset returns possible when installing solar photovoltaic cells on the roof.

Upon completion, the facility provides comfort, care, and a safe place for residents to call home. With 95 beds, The Willows can accommodate a variety of needs including low dependency, high dependency, and dementia-related care.
