For Paul Kos, mine reclamation isn’t just a profession—it’s a personal mission rooted in a lifelong connection to nature. Whether he’s hiking remote trails with his dog or planting trees on a former quarry site, Paul brings the same care and curiosity to his work that he brings to the outdoors.
With more than 25 years in natural resources, Paul has seen the evolution of mining and reclamation firsthand. At Stantec, his role spans the full mining lifecycle—from permitting and operations to closure. He’s as comfortable reviewing technical reports as he is coordinating the planting of 31,000 trees. Paul is transforming former mine sites into vibrant ecosystems that support wildlife, recreation, and community connection.
This is environmental restoration that builds a better future, one project at a time.
