Gianna Pigford elevated to AIA College of Fellows

Texas-based architect recognized with AIA’s highest membership honor

Gianna Pigford has been elevated to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) College of Fellows for 2026

Elevating 78 architects in 2026, the AIA College of Fellows recognizes members who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in the field and contributed significantly to both architecture and society on a national level. 

Pigford, a principal in the Plano, Texas, office, has built a reputation for strong project delivery, design integration, sustainable design, and innovative initiatives. She leverages her experience in retail, industrial, and workplace sectors to cultivate new client connections and project opportunities, all while overseeing current project development initiatives.

An avid community and industry advocate, Pigford has been a leader in countless organizations including the AIA, National Organization of Minority Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, Urban Land Institute, and CoreNet Global North Texas. She has been an active member and volunteer for many more, such as the International Council of Shopping Centers, NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association North Texas, Dallas Business Journal 40 Under 40 Alumni, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Dallas Regional Chamber Young Professionals, CREW Dallas, and ACE Mentors.

She received a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Mississippi State University and is a registered architect in multiple states, a LEED Accredited Professional, and an NCARB certified architect. Gianna also recently received AIA Dallas’s highest honor, the 2025 President’s Medal, for her significant contributions to the Dallas architecture and design community, recognizing her leadership and commitment to the field.
