Stantec, a global leader in integrated design and engineering, has completed the architectural design for the Nora Hotel in West Palm Beach, Florida. Developed by New York-based BD Hotels, Stantec serves as the project’s design architect and architect of record with Gachot Studio providing interior design.

Upon completion, the hotel will total more than 215,000 square feet over five stories with 201 guest rooms and a spacious parking garage. Amenities will include a rooftop pool deck complete with a restaurant, two bars, lounge area, and poolside cabanas. The ground level will also feature a 5,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, along with a warm and elegant living room, lobby bar, and outdoor garden. The ground level will also feature a world-renowned restaurant offering encompassing more than 13,000 square feet with a private dining room and pre-function space ideal for large private gatherings.

The Nora Hotel is the first vertical development in the master planned Nora District of West Palm Beach. This reimagined hospitality, retail, and wellness hub is the cultivation of new buildings, the adaptive reuse of high character, historic warehouses, and streetscape beautification with infrastructure upgrades that connect pedestrians to a dynamic public realm. Conveniently located next to the city’s beautiful waterfront, downtown, and Brightline station, it is designed to be a place for people to live, work, and play.

“Nora Hotel will be a pace setter for the area, bringing tourism to the new district and promoting the economy of the new area,” said Elvira Freire-Santamaria, senior architect and principal at Stantec. “It’s designed to make guests feel connected to the walkable community, providing easy access to local establishments, all while offering a luxury experience to rest and rejuvenate.”

The project is scheduled to break ground by summer 2024, with the hotel expected to open by early 2026.
