A large technology client initially hired us to provide peer review and design services for one of their hyperscale data centers—a mission critical facility with vast computing and network infrastructure to support massive data volumes. Impressed with our work, they expanded our role to include design and construction administration for multiple hyperscale data center campuses across the US and also invited us to join their global design team. This partnership helps maintain our client’s global standards and provides a consistent design approach across North America.

Our strategy centers on a master design framework adaptable to local site conditions, driving efficiency and accelerating speed to market. As demand for capacity has surged, we’ve evolved the original design from 150-megawatt campuses to sites scalable to 1.2 gigawatts and beyond, setting new benchmarks for size, resilience, and performance.

This evolution includes key innovations in power delivery, cooling infrastructure, and smart systems. We’ve helped our client transition from exterior generator yards to interior electrical rooms for enhanced reliability and resilience. We’ve also developed modular, centralized chiller plants to optimize thermal management across campuses. Additionally, we’ve integrated advanced programmable logic controller (PLC) based building management systems (BMS) for real-time monitoring and control of mechanical and electrical systems, focusing on optimal reliability and operational efficiency.

Beyond the data halls, our designs incorporate administrative buildings with office spaces, amenities, storage, and logistics areas—creating a cohesive campus environment.
