Polk County Utilities Computerized Maintenance Management System Services

Polk County Utilities (PCU) wanted to provide more reliable and affordable services for their customers. PCU wanted a configurable commercial off-the-shelf computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) that could be customized to fit their asset maintenance workflows and incorporated industry best practices. They engaged us to help.

We partnered with PCU’s CMMS core team and CentralSquare Technologies to provide an effective CMMS solution. Our team recommended implementing a standardized tool to improve the management of PCU’s infrastructure, which includes their distribution and collection systems, treatment facilities, and warehouses.

This new system serves as a central hub for all work-order related data and parts management of PCU’s assets. It brings together different systems—the geographic information system (GIS), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, and customer information system (CIS)—to enhance the efficiency of field workers. The CMMS assists maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and provides the data needed for calculating PCU’s key performance indicators.
