Finding contaminated land on a project can be stressful and confusing for clients—that's where Scott can help. As a senior member of the Environmental Science team, he focuses on contaminated land and provides practical, cost-effective solutions for projects where contaminated soil is identified.
Scott educates our clients on the how and why of what should be done to mitigate contaminated land as required by law, helping them meet their landowners’ responsibilities. Having spent considerable time in the field, he has practical knowledge of construction designs and methods, allowing him to plan solutions that’ll work. A project highlight? Scott helped with the Akaroa Wastewater Treatment and Irrigation Plant, where treated wastewater is reused to irrigate large areas of replanted native bush. The project created multiple wins—a modern wastewater facility for the township, the regeneration of native flora and fauna, and the disposal of treated wastewater in a culturally sensitive way.
