Stantec appoints new Head of Assurance & Regulation

Stantec is delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Roxburgh as Head of Assurance & Regulation for its UK and Ireland business.

In his role Chris will lead and develop Stantec’s Water Assurance and Regulation services, and work in close collaboration with Business Consulting colleagues to support Stantec’s advancing growth within the sector.

With over 30 years working within the water industry, Chris is a Chartered Biologist and a recognised expert in Ofwat Regulation and Asset Management. He has held asset management leadership positions across both client and consultancy organisations in the UK, Middle East, and Australia.

In his new role, Chris will bring his considerable skills and experience in assurance and regulation to strengthen and enhance Stantec’s independent assurance services to UK water companies. Chris’s aspiration is also to broaden these services to other industry clients across the infrastructure and energy sectors.

Stantec is at the forefront of providing engineering and design, programme and project management, and strategic technical consultancy services. In addition, Stantec has accelerated its growth in environmental services, energy & resources, asset management and digital & data services.

During 2020, Stantec was named Water Industry Consultancy of the Year at the Water Industry Awards and has recently been awarded the British Construction Industry Award for Digital Initiative of the Year, working collaboratively with Yorkshire Water on the DSEAR Hazardous Area Assessment project.

Commenting on his appointment, Chris said: “I am excited to be joining Stantec at a time where they are developing and delivering on their ambitious growth plans. I am really looking forward to working closely with colleagues in other parts of the business to help strengthen our offering of providing a complete multi-discipline service to our clients.”
