Stantec UK shortlisted for Employee Engagement and Wellbeing at the Global Good Awards

Leading global design firm Stantec has been shortlisted in the Employee Engagement and Wellbeing category at the 2021 Global Good Awards.

The awards celebrate businesses that demonstrate excellence in sustainability and social value, driving positive change in their communities and protecting and enhancing the natural environment.

The Employee Engagement and Wellbeing category recognises businesses that have implemented innovative workplace activities that care for and protect employees, enhance the work environment for staff at all levels and recognise employees as valued contributors to the organisation. They also celebrate creative, innovative and engaging communications and eco-friendly work schemes.

Stantec has been shortlisted in recognition of their efforts to support their people through the pandemic. Activities included:

• Providing additional support and a comprehensive training on a range of topics from suicide awareness to managing personal finances through a newly launched virtual classroom
• Supporting agile working and the introduction of quiet time – an hour in the day where staff are encouraged not to set up meetings, take calls or send emails.
• Launching an employee charter to promote positive behaviour and support our culture of trust and flexibility
• Delivering an internal communications campaigns around issues such as domestic abuse, healthy living and mental health
• Hosting an employee consultation on climate change and social value where staff can help shape sustainability practices within the business
• Hosting digital PRIDE, International Women’s day events and joining Stonewall and Catalyst to help drive forward change that supports equality and diversity

The winners will be revealed at the virtual awards ceremony which will take place on Wednesday 22^nd September 2021.
