Stantec shortlisted in Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation South West Awards

Stantec is proud to announce that it has been shortlisted in four categories at this year’s Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) South West awards.

Stantec is a finalist in the following categories:

• Collaboration Award - recognising those that have shown dedication to working in collaboration with other teams, organisations and/or sectors to deliver real solutions.
• Innovation Award - celebrating imaginative concepts and continuous improvements in the highways and transportation industry.
• Sustainability Award - recognising projects, initiatives or solutions in the industry that make a positive contribution to sustainable living and address the impacts of climate change.
• Transportation Project of the Year - celebrating the best policies, plans, schemes or initiatives in the South West in 2021.

Each entry focused on an exemplary element of Stantec’s work on the Gravity project, the state-of-the-art campus being developed at Junction 23 of the M5. As lead consultant, Stantec has provided multi-disciplinary support including planning, project management, environmental services, and hydro and civil engineering services to support the project which will deliver more than 7500 jobs. The Gravity Local Development Order (LDO) was adopted by Sedgemoor District Council on 23 February 2022.

The CIHT is a charity, learned society and membership body with 12 UK nations / regions and a number of international groups. The CIHT awards celebrate the best work and projects in highways and transportation across the region. They aim to raise awareness of the outstanding contribution that good projects and people can make to our daily lives.

The winners will be announced at the annual awards dinner which will be held on 19^th May at Sandy Park, Exeter.
