Celebrating award shortlistings for Stantec’s team in the South West

Stantec, a global leader in sustainable engineering and design, and its team in the South West recently celebrated a raft of award shortlistings, from its offices in Bristol, Exeter and Taunton.
Recognising the breadth of technical skills and experience, as well as the collaborative and innovative strength of the Stantec team, the awards cover multiple disciplines and projects. They include:
The South West CIHT awards celebrate the best the region offers across the key areas of highways and transportation and recognise the outstanding contribution that good projects and people make to our daily lives. The winners will be announced on 25 May. Stantec has been shortlisted for two awards:
- Transport Innovation Award - Sedgemoor Regional Transport Model – Interactive Visualisation Toolkit (IVT)
- Sustainability Award - Connecting our Garden Communities – Taunton Cycling
These awards showcase the outstanding work across the planning and placemaking sectors and recognise excellence in planning and associated placemaking disciplines. The winners will be announced on 8 June. Stantec has been shortlisted in two categories:
- Planning Permission of the Year – Gravity LDO
- Award for promoting economic growth’– Gravity LDO
Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) South West Awards for Planning Excellence
The RTPI South West Awards showcase and celebrate the best plans, people and projects recognising the positive contribution planning professionals make in the communities they serve around the world. Regional winners will be announced on 3 July. Stantec has been shortlisted in two categories:
- Best Project – Gravity Green Bridge
- Young Planner of the Year – Elliot Dommett
Marking 20 years of celebrating the best property, development and construction projects in the South West, the 2023 awards recognise both commercial and residential projects of all shapes and sizes. Winners will be announced on 22 June. Stantec has been shortlisted as part of the design team for two entries in the ‘Masterplanning for the Future Category’:
- Whitehouse Street for Bristol City Council, Galliard Apsley Partnership, Hill
- Water Lane for Cilldara Group (Exeter)
