Stantec shortlisted for eight New Civil Engineer Awards

Stantec is recognised on an industry-level for its inclusive culture and pioneering work on iconic and transformative UK&I built environment projects

Stantec, a global provider of sustainable design and engineering services, has been shortlisted in eight categories, including Consultancy Firm of the Year and Best Place to Work, at The New Civil Engineer (NCE) 2023 Awards. The industry-renowned event celebrates the best in civil engineering, recognising industry leaders and those delivering positive change to the sector.

Stantec is a finalist in six further categories. These include Impact in Water and Environment; Impact in Local Transport; Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Leader; Technology Solutions Provider of the Year; Environmental and social governance; and Impact in Energy.

Stantec is a top-tier, multi-sector, multi-service, interdisciplinary consultancy, and supports communities by designing and delivering the most iconic and transformative projects across the UK and Ireland. From pioneering community active travel schemes and designing cutting-edge low-carbon energy projects, to creating sustainable housing schemes and helping water companies take advantage of smart water networks and Nature-based Solutions, Stantec’s range of expertise impacts the entire built environment.

In the last year, the company has acquired leading planning and design firm, Barton Willmore, grown its UK&I headcount by 27.7% to 2,934, and opened new offices in Belfast, Cumbria, Exeter, and Brighton. Stantec has also helped local authorities secure more than £70m of levelling up funding for future community projects.
