Chris is an experienced consultant, business lead, and published and certified professional, who works to support a range of UK industry sectors through his knowledge and application of regulatory consent and permitting requirements.
He has 19 years of experience working in both the academic research and consultancy sectors and is a Chartered Resource and Waste Manager, Chartered Environmentalist and Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying.
Chris leads a team specialising in Environmental Permitting across all our industry sectors and acts as project Director and market sector lead for a wide range of clients and projects including permitting/compliance and the “designing out” of waste for major infrastructure and EIA schemes.
A Qualified Person under the CL:AIRE Definition of Waste Code of Practice (DoW CoP), he is a Lead Author on CIRIA research project RP1124 which is seeking to provide new UK guidance on the sustainable reuse of soils and aggregates.
He has an active role on industry forums and working groups including with the Mineral Products Association and Society for the Environment, and is a public speaker at various industry and professional organisation events. Chris has authored several prominent articles in the regulatory/legal sections of industry journals.
