Lorraine leads our national built heritage team and draws upon her extensive experience within the sector to provide reliable and realistic advice to clients navigating heritage sensitivities in the planning system. She is a full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation and sits on the Ely Diocesan Advisory Committee.

Lorraine undertakes detailed assessments of the historic environment and prepare heritage appraisals and significance and impact assessments. Experienced in preparing detailed listed building consents, she has a particular interest in urban regeneration and adaptive reuse of historic buildings. One of her most memorable projects involved working with the planning team on Cruachan Hydro Electric Power Station expansion and liaising with Historic Environment Scotland. The highlight of her experience was getting a behind the scenes tour of the existing power station.

Outside of work, Lorraine enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog. She’s also active in the sport of clay pigeon shooting, hosting quarterly ladies’ days at her local clay ground.
