Taking special care to protect an ancient semi-natural woodland, Esh-Stantec stabilized the northern embankment of the Grassholme Reservoir (supplying the Lartington Water Treatment works) and relocated the adjacent watercourse running along its toe.
Working in partnership with Salamanca Group, the Sedgemoor District Council, and the highway authorities, we planned, designed, and secured approvals for a link road and green bridge that would support the new innovation campus in Somerset.

In a first-of-its-kind partnership with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Environment Agency, and United Utilities, Stantec created a series of seven workstreams to support the development of an integrated water management plan (IWMP).
Manchester City Council (MCC) commissioned our team to conduct a study to identify and evaluate renewable and low-carbon energy sources that could feasibly serve as heat inputs for future district heating networks.
We helped an Ontario power producer explore hydrogen as a cleaner energy source. Stantec was approached to perform two hydrogen feasibility studies and ended up performing three to help the client later move forward with two projects.
Stantec was contacted to assess the hydrogen potential of a South Asian country. Determining that only 10% of its potential hydrogen power was being used, we were tasked with conducting a study to improve the country’s hydrogen potential.
During the course of this project, we carried out the complete infrastructure design for Green Park. We’ve provided a range of multidisciplinary consulting services, including project co-ordination and management.
