The Stoke-on-Trent City Council engaged Stantec’s professionals to help navigate the complex planning, consenting, and approvals process to upgrade their Energy from Waste (EfW) facility.
We delivered masterplanning and mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) performance-based design for a mixed-use regeneration of the Stonebridge Estate.
Working with the South East of Scotland Transport Partnership (SEStran), we conducted a desktop survey, stakeholder consultation, and site audits to develop new and upgrade existing cycle infrastructure.
For this project our team was appointed by the Scottish Government to lead a multidisciplinary research project. Our job? To identify and assess options for the introduction of an infrastructure charging mechanism across Scotland.
The University of Glasgow appointed us to update their current 2010-2015 Travel Plan to support and promote comfortable and sustainable modes of travel around their campuses.
Our teams worked with Suffolk County Council to visualise streets differently focusing on aims of social value and the needs of communities, housing requirements, and environmental concerns.
For this mixed-use development, we provided consultancy advice, followed by master planning design and support (all technical disciplines). We also prepared and coordinated the environmental impact assessment.
We performed sustainability appraisals and strategic environmental assessments to support the Sunderland Core Strategy & Development Plan (CSDP).
We helped Sutton Harbour Holdings make the case to reinvigorate a historic Plymouth harbour.
Stantec worked with the Swale Borough Council to create four community garden proposals for the growing region. These strategic proposals were managed from start to finish and include the UKs first privately funded and delivered motorway junction.
