With over 20 years’ experience, Betty is a proven leader in the civil and water resources industries. She’s a professional engineer, certified floodplain manager, and project management professional, with a background in drainage, hydrology and hydraulics, and stream restoration. Known for her ability to collaborate, influence, and lead people, she focuses on project management, operations, and delivery of successful projects.
Throughout her career, Betty has managed numerous projects including water resources planning and studies, storm systems design, dam rehabilitation, stream restoration, and environmental investigations. Currently, she serves as the Business Center Operations leader for the Gulf Region in the US, where she directs over 135 people and delivers a net revenue volume of over $45 million. She loves her work because it provides her the opportunity to create ingenious solutions for clients—and she feels lucky to be a member of such a reachable, diverse team.
Outside of work, Betty enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and rescuing dogs. Staying active, she likes jogging, swimming, and biking. And she’s fluent in four languages—English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
