A Texas native, Dr. Christine Weber is combining the knowledge she acquired while pursuing her PhD (focused on dam research) with her nearly 20 years of experience in dam design to help Texas solve its growing flood and water supply needs. She’s working with our Water team in the state to cross-sell our expertise in dams to existing clients, with the ultimate goal of growing a local Hydro and Dams team that can service dams, levees, and hydropower projects across Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
A geotechnical engineer, Christine has supervised design and engineering analysis activities for dams, water reservoirs/storage facilities, water conveyance structures, mine tailing management facilities, and mine remediation/closure. Her expertise in engineering analysis includes static slope stability calculations and modeling, 2D and 3D seepage analysis, and static settlement analysis. She also has experience in planning and implementing geotechnical field investigations, and leading seismic hazard analyses, seismic deformation analysis, and liquefaction assessments.
When she isn’t at work, you might find Christine two-stepping to Texas music, enjoying Texas BBQ with friends, and watching Houston Astros and Houston Texans games with her family.
