Building stronger communities together throughout 2025

At Stantec, community engagement isn’t just something we do alongside our work, it’s woven into who we are. In 2025, our people, partners, and purpose came together in powerful ways as we supported communities around the world, strengthening resilience, expanding opportunities, and creating meaningful, lasting impacts where they matter most.

From long-standing partnerships to new collaborations, financial investment to hands-on volunteering, this year was defined by connection and by our shared belief that when communities thrive, we all thrive.

Investing Where It Matters Most

In 2025, Stantec invested more than $11.7 million globally, supporting community partner organizations focused on local resilience and well-being. These investments reached communities facing a wide range of challenges, from disaster preparedness and recovery to mental health support and social services, helping communities not only respond to immediate needs but build strength for the future.

This year’s giving also marked a significant milestone in our long-term commitment. Since launching our Community Engagement programme in 2007, we have invested more than $67 million in communities around the world—an enduring reflection of our responsibility to give back where we live and work.

Creating Opportunity for the Next Generation

Education remains one of the most powerful drivers of change. In 2025, we awarded approximately $400,000 in scholarships, supporting students as they pursue their education and prepare to shape the future.

Through programmes like our flagship Future Leaders Scholarship, we supported 47 students and offered multiple paid internships—opening doors to opportunity and helping build a more inclusive pipeline of future leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers. These investments represent more than financial support. They reflect our confidence in the next generation and our commitment to helping them succeed.

Showing up through volunteerism

Our people are the heart of our community impact. In 2025, that spirit was on full display as we celebrated the 12th anniversary of Stantec in the Community (SITC) Week, our signature global volunteer event.

This year marked our largest participation ever, with 7,831 employees volunteering with more than 440 organisations worldwide. Across cities, regions, and continents, our teams donated their time, skills, and energy to causes close to their hearts.

Beyond traditional volunteering, our teams continued to give back through skills-based volunteering, putting their expertise to work in communities that need it most. Expanded build days with Habitat for Humanity brought hands-on construction and housing support to communities across Canada, the United States, Chile, and Australia, helping families build safer, more secure places to call home.

Responding when communities need it most

In times of crisis, partnership and speed matter. Through our continued global humanitarian partnerships with Oxfam and World Central Kitchen, we delivered critical support for disaster relief and food security, helping communities affected by crises access immediate aid and essential resources.

We also expanded our partnerships with Feeding America and Food Banks Canada, contributing $250,000 and $200,000 respectively to help families access nutritious meals and ease the burden of hunger in communities across North America.

This year, we were proud to launch new $100,000 partnerships with Big Brothers Big Sisters and FIRST Robotics, while continuing long-standing relationships with organisations such as the Nature Conservancy of Canada, the Canadian Mental Health Association, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Together with these partners, we are advancing youth mentorship, STEM education, mental health support, and environmental stewardship, creating impact that extends far beyond a single year.

Looking ahead

Through both financial investment and hands-on engagement, our people are creating ripples of change that extend far beyond our projects. As we look ahead to 2026, we aim to deepen partnerships, expand opportunities for involvement, and amplify the positive impact we bring to communities around the world.
