To better understand asset valuations in preparation for a 2024 Price Review (PR24) submission to Ofwat, South West Water engaged Stantec to help carry out an update of their asset register as part of their Asset Improvement Programme.
After studying opportunities for natural resiliency, Stantec developed a method for South West Water to identify where nature-based solutions could be implemented to reduce flood risk and promote resilience at their assets—while creating habitat.
We worked in partnership with Transport Scotland to develop a study that evaluated the transportation service in Dumfries & Galloway and parts of Ayrshire. The study included multi-modal options as well as public and stakeholder consultation.
Stantec was part of a capital programme delivery alliance that spanned two (five year) regulatory periods (AMP4 and AMP5) that was responsible for all aspects of programme management, consenting, engineering design and construction.
Partnering with Southern Water, Stantec designed a nature-based, sustainable solution to replace an old reedbed at their Lavant wastewater treatment site. Early results have shown a three-fold increase in the rate of treating wastewater.
