Asset management plans taking flight across Queensland

How do you maintain airport assets for the long term? By implementing practices and embedding processes that align with ISO 55001. Our Asset Management team is well versed in ISO 55001 standards, and that’s why our client, Queensland Airports Limited, came to us.

Managing and operating airports in Townsville, Mt Isa, Longreach, and the Gold Coast in Queensland, we collaborated with our client to conduct a gap analysis and asset management review. The review was complex, as one airport is jointly operated with the Royal Australian Air Force. We completed the review, documented a continuous improvement plan and developed Queensland Airports Limited Asset Policy to align with their five strategic pillars of shareholder value, customer experience, social responsibility, high performing workforce and accomplished operators.

This project identified significant operational and financial benefits by establishing the appropriate framework across the organisation. The asset management continuous improvement plan and policy will be a guiding light on how to manage their significant assets for the benefit of the Australian economy which rely on reliable airport infrastructure.
