Helping to build a more sustainable community in Sydney’s south west
Growth, and the establishment of new subdivisions, is generally welcomed. New developments incorporate new ideas and features which customers want, if not expect. Those expectations now include sensitivity to the environment and sustainability—features we are able and committed to provide. Such as we did for the 370 hectares East Leppington Precinct, a master planned subdivision delivering 4,000 residential lots along with a village centre, shared park, playing fields, and a retail centre.
Our role included due diligence assessments and surveys, cost estimating, technical studies on potential flood impacts and flood modelling, traffic flow modelling, water and sewer design, and other civil design works.
This was a project with a large scope, not only geographically, but also over a long roll-out schedule, which required assessments across multiple topographies, and interfaces with major roads servicing the area. Requiring particular sensitivity was the protection of existing native vegetation, including a portion of Cumberland Plain Woodland, and a threatened species.
