Gene leads our higher education practice in the national capital region. He brings an outstanding international portfolio of award-winning designs for science, technology, medical education, and academic facilities for colleges and universities to our work. Through design thinking, he focuses on the user experience and has prototyped state-of-the-art learning environments and explored proactive approaches to life-long learning in workplace and academia.
Gene’s work gives beauty and structure to new education delivery models—those focused on collaboration, integration of multiple disciplines, and flexibility. He’s committed to creating designs that stimulate imagination and innovation in our clients’ business enterprises. As a senior leader in our architecture practice, he’s a great resource to those whose mission is to train our next generation of academic, healthcare, and scientific leaders.
In the community, Gene has taught design studios at an Art Institute, led an AIA Chapter, served as a volunteer in his local Community Arts Center, and mentored students that are considering careers in the design profession.
