17 West Mixed-Use Development in Miami Beach Tops Off

06/18/2018 MIAMI, FLORIDA TSX, NYSE:STN

Designed by architecture and design firm Stantec in Miami, the five-story 17 West mixed-use development that includes Miami’s second Trader Joe’s grocery store, has topped off.

Located on 17th Street between Alton Road and West Avenue in Miami Beach, the 185,388 square foot development will feature 23 residential units, rooftop pool deck with gym, ground level commercial space and a public garage with 193 parking spaces. The 11,500 square foot Trader Joe’s will be on the corner of 17th and West Avenue.

The building’s façade includes colorful vertical elements surrounding the second and third floor parking levels separating the retail below and residences above. The residential units range from one bedroom to three bedrooms with interiors inspired by the monolithic designs of high-end retail stores in Miami’s Design District. Sleek terrazzo floors and ceilings are balanced with natural woods and green spaces resulting in a serene retreat in the midst of Miami Beach’s West Avenue neighborhood.

17 West is a joint venture between Rock Soffer of Turnberry Associates and Elion Partners, along with members of the Sredni family. The project is scheduled for completion in January 2019.
