Bob is part of a small team that manages the digital practice technologies for Stantec in general, but specifically in the US West region. His focus is on supporting electrical design, but he’s also involved with mechanical and plumbing. He manages large BIM projects for design teams, and he assists with the migration of MEP acquisitions.
Bob is responsible for developing the Digital Practice Community’s Quickstart Guide, the first of its kind within Stantec—a resource that provides onboarding/migration resources from a design production perspective. The guide is a collection of information that someone new to Stantec will need to use applications such as Revit or AutoCAD in a productive way.
A well-known speaker on multiple continents, Bob has been presenting annually since the early 2000s. Early on, his topics were related to programming, but over the last five years, he’s focused on Building Information Modeling. A Pacific Northwest resident, Bob loves being on the water of the Sound one minute and then heading over to the mountains for a hike the same day. He enjoys biking, photography, and gaming (board, card, and role-playing games).
