Steve’s philosophy? Asset management (AM) cannot be done to you, it can only be delivered with you. A chartered manager (and fellow of the Chartered Management Institute) with over 30 years in engineering asset management, Steve has spent 20 of those years accountable for whole-life asset management across 1,000 sites. The asset value? In excess of UK £7.3B. Steve’s most recent assignment is with Ashghal (in Qatar) working with the client to develop world-class asset management capability.
Steve has worked in the UK, Europe, the Middle East (ME), and Africa delivering various interventions on all aspects of asset management implementation, training, and auditing.
He’s assisted the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) in the development of sector specific guidance (SSG) on AM policy, strategy, and plans, and he’s contributed on the assessment methodology in compliance with PAS55 and ISO55001:2014. Steve has been an IAM council member and still supports the IAM and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) as a long-term (10-year) judge on their annual international awards.
