Luisa’s passion for energy-efficient building design and renewable energies runs deep. With a master’s in engineering in Energy Efficient and Sustainable Buildings that she obtained in Germany, Luisa provides technical engineering solutions for cost-effective and energy-optimized buildings.
Well-versed at creating building energy models, Luisa helps the team achieve high-performance Passive House and BC Energy Step Code 4 targets. For this purpose, she works with simulation software such as IES Virtual Environment, PHPP, DesignBuilder, and EnergyPlus. She also recently completed the Passive House consultancy for the Gastown Childcare Centres and is currently the Passive House designer for the FortWhyte Alive Buffalo Crossing Visitor’s Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
When she isn’t busy building energy simulations, Luisa can be found in the backcountries of British Columbia exploring nature from the province’s sea to sky landscape.
