A birdwatching trip in the late 1990s inspired Stephanie to pursue wildlife biology. Since then, her journey has been full and exciting, including assessing environmental impacts of major industrial developments and monitoring mammals, amphibians, and birds across Canada. Steph brings over 13 years of environmental planning and regulatory expertise to a range of projects including power, oil and gas, residential, transportation, and recreation.
A problem solver, Steph looks at the big picture and develops client and community-focused solutions. She led efforts to safeguard the natural environment during construction of Canada's longest multi-span, stressed-ribbon bridge and recreational trails in Terwillegar Park, where she now takes her two kids to share her love of the outdoors.
Waxwings are among Steph’s favourite birds, and she enjoys cycling, rain or shine. After conquering the elements, there’s nothing in a day she can’t handle (that includes finding bears sitting on her field equipment).
