Paul has over three decades of experience as a consulting civil and structural engineer, working on a wide range of building and infrastructure projects. He established our Civil and Structural sections in the Sydney office. Since then, both sections have grown significantly under his management, and they deliver national projects in the aged care, aged care living, residential, and education sectors.
By applying a combination of technical knowledge, construction experience, and commercial awareness, Paul provides innovative and cost-effective solutions. He proactively coordinates with architects and other engineering disciplines to provide practical solutions, and he works closely with builders to ensure cost-effective, safe, and buildable solutions—such as his contributions to the Voco Auckland City Centre.
Outside of work, Paul is keen competitive triathlete. He competes in events up to and including Ironman distance and can regularly be seen running or riding into the office to fit in training during the morning commute. He qualified for the world championships in 2019, competing in Hawaii, and he has ridden the Indian Pacific Rail race (Fremantle to Melbourne)—4,000 kilometers in 15 days.
