Jamie is revered by clients and colleagues as a great project leader, overseeing teams on major capital projects across New Zealand. His Chartered Engineer practice area is lead designer of investigation and design of roading projects, safety audits and traffic engineering analyses.
His varied background—a geography degree, studied civil engineering and a Masters in Transport Engineering—allows Jamie to combine environmental and community issues with technical solutions.
Since 2013, he’s led the design work on State Highway 58 Safety Improvements: recognised as one of New Zealand’s most dangerous roads for fatal and serious injuries. He is personally invested in making a direct and immediate impact on saving lives.
Jamie is also leading the project investigations and preliminary design on the Ōtaki to Levin Expressway project. He manages a variety of sub-consultants and experts to establish the preferred route for the 25-kilometre long greenfield major expressway. This has also included producing significant online safety upgrades such as the innovative and successful upgrades for Manakau and Ohau village, to deliver a safer environment for all.
