As a senior building performance engineer, Philip models existing and new buildings to help with energy and low-carbon efficiency. He is responsible for our Ottawa Building Performance team, primarily focusing on carbon-neutral designs, energy models, LEED® facilitation, energy audits, lifecycle cost analysis, and mechanical design.
Philip believes a large shift is needed to achieve a low-carbon economy. He has completed several energy audits including American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) level I, II, and III, renewable, and mechanical systems audits. These have provided him with the field experience and technical skills necessary to bridge the gap between energy modelling theory and real-world designs. He enjoys seeing our processes and hard work pay off in ways that satisfy clients.
Playing video games and chess are activities Philip enjoys outside of work. He also loves travelling, adventuring far away from home as much as possible. Hawaii is a go-to, and he has also visited four countries in Southern Africa.
