Focused on healthcare design, Olivera has a special interest in developing the design of pediatric facilities as well as designing for behavioral health and senior care. Each different field requires specific expertise and approaches—but what they have in common is how much impact the built environment can have on its users.
Making sure that her designs always have a positive impact is Olivera’s goal. To that end, she leads user group meetings and manages design and planning to incorporate feedback and create unique design solutions. On two recent projects, the PlayPark at SickKids Hospital and the ErinoakKids treatment facility, Olivera ensured that every design choice served the end users
When she isn’t translating stakeholder visions into award-winning healthcare facilities, Olivera might be spending her free time skiing in Quebec or Vermont or traveling. She’s particularly fond of small, historic European towns and their mix of scale and relaxed atmosphere.
