As a Principal at Stantec, Ryce is a registered architect with a history of accomplishments that spans more than 50 years. He’s skilled in the design and planning of public and private facilities and is also an expert in sustainable design.
Ryce’s design experience includes healthcare, academic, hospitality and residential projects, and his planning experience includes writing design guidelines, redevelopment plans, and overlay zoning districts. Ryce’s high level of technical skill has allowed him to work on designs with three different Pritzker Prize firms as AOR for large development projects in Miami.
In his position, Ryce provides project oversight, as well as resiliency and sustainability concepts to some of the offices most notable projects. He is a LEED Building Design + Construction accredited professional, and a recognized thought leader in the area of High Density Residential and High-Performance Building Design. Ryce finds building in South Florida to be a unique experience, and sees Miami as an evolving scene, absorbing architectural trends from around the world.
Raising three children doesn’t leave much time for a hobby, but in his spare time Ryce enjoys keeping his old Porsche running.
