J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) produces world-class, high-quality tissue products from softwood and hardwood grades of kraft pulp. For 50 years we’ve been working alongside JDI at various pulp mills, providing multi-discipline engineering and project management support services.
As the largest employer in New Brunswick, JDI operates out of four mills including Lake Utopia Paper, Saint John Tissue, Saint John Pulp, and Saint John Paper Mills. Contributing consulting engineering services, we’re helping JDI assess their needs and continue work on their major capital improvement projects.
We have collaborated with JDI on hundreds of projects from building maintenance to process enhancements to major capital projects. Projects have included engineering and project management support for detailed design of JDI’s demineralizer, new lime kiln, evaporated condensate treatment system (reverse osmosis), kraft mill chip handling system, and biomass boiler.
