Assisting the delivery of a state-of-the-art, three-storey BMW and Mini Cooper dealership in Reading
Spring 2015 saw the brand-new Cooper BMW dealership open its doors to the public. The new, three-storey facility is located on Drake Way, adjacent to the Hilton Hotel in Reading. With the introduction of many state-of-the-art facilities and services, choosing, buying and maintaining a BMW or MIN will be easier than ever.
Built over three storeys, the investment made by Inchcape Estates is the largest they have ever made in Europe—it’s anticipated that up to 75 new jobs will be created as a result of the project. The showroom features the latest facilities and services, including indoor showrooms for over 90 cars, 26 two-storey height service bays, and customer lounge and kids' zone.
We were initially appointed by Inchcape Estates Ltd. to advise on the pre-planning drainage, transport and BREEAM services. Due to our performance, this later led to opportunities for us to assist with other disciplines—we also carried out the structural and civil engineering design, mechanical and electrical design, geotechnical and geoenvironmental investigations, transport studies, and acoustics consultancy services.
