Patients take clues from their surroundings. The Santa Clara Valley satellite clinics strive to convey a sense of quality care for all county residents through high quality design. Valley Health Centers serve multiple specialty health needs for many ages and patient conditions. To provide flexibility and allow for a variety of services over various days and time periods, the centers were developed and organized around a prototypical modular clinic concept that provides a consistent organizational concept for patient flow in the building.
Placed in three locations throughout the County of Santa Clara, the buildings provide a pleasant internal environment with large windows that maximize external views to the surrounding landscape and neighborhoods. There is plenty of daylight. It’s easy to find your way because one side of the building has a circulation spine at edge. Moving between floors is convenient using the public circulation stair in the round tower knuckle of the buildings. Most importantly, the design of the interiors provides comfortable, user friendly spaces that help make the time spent at the health center pleasant for both patients and staff.
