Providing creative solutions to client challenges motivates George, our Newcastle geotechnical team lead. He believes the strength of his team is built by the skill each member brings to the group. A geotechnical engineer, he has six years’ experience in geotechnical investigations, project management, geotechnical analysis, design, and reporting.
Involved in many projects across various sectors, George works on residential, commercial, roads, rail, civil, and water infrastructure projects—ranging from large-scale transport infrastructure projects to smaller community-focused developments. A notable project was the emergency design and implementation of remediation solutions to a number of rail embankment failures following a period of significant storms in regional New South Wales. The project required ingenuity, decisiveness, and dedication to meet the challenging workload and time frames.
In his spare time, George can be found out on the links improving his golf handicap or on the pitch playing rugby.
