Shaun Chambers

Environmental Engineer

Photo of Shaun

Having been part of both our civil infrastructure and environmental teams, Shaun has experience with a broad range of urban development, road design, drainage design, hydrogeology, mine closure, and remediation projects. At present, he’s primarily responsible for groundwater and surface water sampling, soil sampling, management of landfills and hazardous substances, as well as drone surveying and surveillance for the contaminated site closure team at Rio Tinto’s Argyle Diamond Mine.

As a key part of his role is to help restore and prepare the land for Traditional Owners, Shaun finds the remediating and rehabilitation work incredibly rewarding. With an understanding that the land is an important story place for Traditional Owners, he feels it’s an honour to support its cultural use. He also enjoys the balance between field work and report writing.

Outside of work, Shaun enjoys attending live music events, playing social sport, surfing, and swimming. He also plays the trombone in the local Army Reserves band in Perth, with jazz, rock, and big band ensembles being his favourite style of music to play.
